FINDING OUR EVENTS
Where our events are visits or in some way specific to a place, you'll find directions included with the flyer for the event unless the location is so obvious that it doesn't need them.
Most of our talks and training sessions are currently held in Birmingham Central Library in Chamberlain Square. If you come by train to Birmingham New Street Station, come up to the main concourse level, then up the escalators to the shopping level. Turn left, follow the passageway round the next corner, then go right. At the end of the shops you are on a ramp down to street level. At the bottom go left along the wide pedestrianised road. This is New Street.
The rest of the route is almost a straight line. New Street gently rises and passes a large waterfall. Keep going up and a short distance beyond there is a public area to the left with tiered paving, amphitheatre style. The buildings behind include the library, which is the one to the right.
Inside the library go up the escalator to the first level. Go right, then immediately left along a passageway, and this will take you to escalators for all floors. Rooms are numbered for the floor they are on (e.g. Room 4a). Each floor has a help desk if you need it. Allow 10-12 minutes for the walk.
